The Luna Story
At Luna Health, we’re bringing healthcare back to what it was always meant to be. A personal relationship between you and your doctor.
I’m Dr. Laurie Simpson (Garabedian), DO, a board-certified family physician and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Being a DO has always shaped how I approach care. I see the body as an interconnected whole, where physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors all play a vital role in well-being. I believe true healing comes from understanding the person, not just the symptoms.
I started Luna Health in 2023 after years of practicing within a large health system, where I cared for thousands of patients. Like so many physicians, I entered medicine to build lasting relationships and help people thrive. But over time, the system made that harder to do. Between rushed visits, endless paperwork, and insurance-driven demands, I felt pulled away from what truly mattered. My patients.
Luna Health was born from that realization and from a deep desire to practice medicine the way it should be. Personal, thoughtful, and focused entirely on you.
Luna Health is also a micropractice, meaning we intentionally keep our structure lean and efficient. We use modern technology for scheduling, record-keeping, and payments, allowing us to keep overhead low and pass those savings directly to you. When you call, text, or email Luna Health, you reach your doctor, not a call center. If we're with a patient, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible, often the very same day.
Direct Primary Care and the micropractice model blend the best of both worlds. The old-fashioned doctor–patient relationship, enhanced by modern tools that make care more personal, more accessible, and more human.
Whether you see us in the office, out in the community, or through a quick text, you’ll always be connecting with someone who knows you and truly cares about your whole health.
The Next Chapter:
Growing the Luna Family
As Luna Health continued to grow, we knew we wanted to expand in a thoughtful way without losing the personal, relationship-based care that makes our practice different. One of the most exciting parts of that growth is welcoming Dr. Rachel Kurinsky to the Luna Health family in 2026. Dr. Kurinsky is a board-certified family physician who shares our commitment to direct primary care and truly knowing the patients she cares for. Her joining Luna Health allows us to care for more individuals and families across southeastern Massachusetts while continuing to provide the unhurried, highly personalized experience our patients value.
As our team expanded, we began searching for a space that reflected the kind of care we believe in. That search ultimately led us to Foxboro. From the moment we found the office, we knew it was the right fit for Luna Health’s next chapter. We wanted a space that felt calm, welcoming, and intentionally designed around patients instead of volume and rushed visits. Our Foxboro office gives us the ability to create exactly that: a place where patients can sit down, feel heard, and receive thoughtful care close to where they live and work.
We’re also expanding in another meaningful way by partnering with local employers to bring direct primary care into the workplace. Through Hint Connect , the nation’s leading direct primary care network, Luna Health can now be offered as an employee healthcare benefit. This allows employers to provide their teams with accessible, relationship-based care while giving more patients the opportunity to experience a different approach to medicine. Whether someone finds Luna Health through their employer or joins independently, our approach remains the same: direct access, meaningful relationships, and care centered around the patient.
As Luna Health continues to grow, our mission remains unchanged. We’re not trying to become a large healthcare system or a high-volume practice. We’re growing thoughtfully by adding physicians who believe in relationship-centered care and creating spaces that support a better experience for both patients and doctors.
Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are just discovering Luna Health, we’re grateful to be part of your healthcare journey. Welcome to the next chapter of our story.
